Yoga and Talk parenting classes and workshops offer a safe, supportive environment in which to practice self care, learn effective parenting strategies, and connect with other parents. The curriculum integrates yogic practices with parenting education and is influenced by the latest research from the fields of attachment theory and neurobiology.

Meditation and Parenting

Would you like to be more present during the good times with your family? Would you like to rebound more quickly from emotionally charged situations? Do you need more ways to discharge stress and replenish yourself? Would you like to teach your child how to handle their emotions with grace and ease?

Join Anita Stoll in this fun, informative introduction to meditation practices and their profound effects on our emotional well-being and our ability to parent with greater ease.

  • Learn what modern science has to say about how parents/caregivers transmit our internal states to our children.
  • Learn simple meditation practices to focus and calm the mind.
  • Learn about the benefits of meditation practice from the perspective of yoga and neuroscience.

When we are able to pause and bring ourselves back to center, we are better able to respond to our children’s needs, emotions, and behaviors, regardless of their temperament. The class will include gentle movement, meditation instruction, and time for discussion.
